About Me
BIO:
Hello and thank you for coming to my site! It is a culmination of my photography that I wanted to share with the world. It means a lot that you would take time to look at my art. It has taken me a lot of time, effort and money to get the photos you see before you, please enjoy them and spread them with the world. If you do so, please tag me! It lets me spread my art further. Thank you for listening.
MY GEAR:
Currently I use a canon r50 with a stock RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM lens. I use a canon el-5 speedlite. I sometimes use a sony power-shot which I like for melancholy.
MY SETTINGS:
I Remember when i was starting out always wanting to know how other photographers captured the photos they did, so for anyone who wants to know more about how I personally do photography, keep reading! For my concert photography i stick to 1/200s iso 3200 and f4.5 (the widest i can currently take) i have found this is good enough for most shows, but if it is too dark, i will open up to around 1/125 and hold as steady as possible.
For my shutter draggy photos, youre gonna need an external flash, I currently use my el-5 speedlite. Basically the big trick with these is having a super slow, tight long exposure and then manually lighting the scene with your speedlite. I stick to around f12-f16 0.8-1.3 seconds and tweak the ISO depending on the light. the big trick is to have a flash that can be manually triggered (i use mine on 1/4 of a stop) and basically take it off your camera, open the shutter, and then manually flash the subject 2-3 times for that effect. What happens is because the shutter is so tight, only the light from the flash will come through, from there, just move your camera around and capture all the other light sources in frame! Eventually you will be able to get a really cool shutter drag!
MY PURPOSE:
"Eddy! Just use Smugmug or something!" Well I enjoy coding so I wanted to make something special, fast, and extremely modular to host my photos on, giving me complete control over everything.
I have been taking photos of shows ever since I started going to concerts. Eventually after getting into the seattle emo scene, I saw how much fun photographers were having at shows, so I wanted to take my photos up a notch. I purchased my r50 and ever since I have loved photography
